1. When will you port Glyph to platform X?
- Windows NT:
A port for Glyph is planed for
release on or near the release of I-DEAS Master
Series 6.
- SUN:
Upon sufficient demand (we are very
close). We have not had sufficient requests
to justify the SUN port of Glyph. If you
are running I-DEAS on a SUN and just gotta (sic)
have Glyph drop us an e-mail saying so by
clicking here.
- Other:
We have gotten no other request to port
Glyph to platforms other than Windows NT and SUN.
2. How many fonts does Glyph have?
Glyph only comes with a couple of freeware fonts
but supports thousands. Glyph uses True Type
Fonts as seen in MS Windows to produce wireframes on
the I-DEAS workplane. Font disks can be
purchased from local computer stores or other
computer outlets with thousands of fonts for $6 (US)
to $30 (US).
3. How do I add fonts to Glyph?
Glyph looks for fonts in the
.../ideas/msX/pontech/fonts/ttf/ directory.
True Type Fonts from a third party disk can be copied
into this directory. Glyph will recognized the
additional fonts the next time it is launched.
NOTE: See page 9 or 10 (Depending on version) of the
Glyph Manual.
4. Does Glyph support UNICODE fonts?
No, but we hear you!
5. Does Glyph allow for text to follow a (curved)
path?
No, but we hear you!
6. Why is this FAQ so short?
We like to think it is due to Glyph being a great
product that is easy to install and use.
